President's Message
Welcome to the Grand Theatre!
We are delighted to have you join us for the Grand Theatre’s 2008-2009 Season as we continue with the satire The Musical of Musicals, the Musical. We will close our season with a production brimming with Latin standards, Four Guys named José, and a Woman named Maria, (May 6-16).
We are pleased to have Richard Scott in his seventh year as Artistic Director of the Grand Theatre. Season after season, Richard has created a rich and satisfying blend of quality scripts, artistic sets and staging, and outstanding professional, semi-professional and amateur talent. Under Richard’s astute leadership, the Grand has expanded its community involvement through pre-show receptions, workshops, and a variety of other activities designed to welcome and entertain our entire community. Salt Lake Community College and the Grand Theatre have experienced tremendous expansion during the past several years.
Thanks to your generous support, we are continuing to grow and evolve to meet the needs of the Salt Lake community. SLCC is truly the community’s college and our many resources—like this wonderful theatre—are here for everyone to enjoy.
